The majority of the work is already complete. The final stage to energise the underground powerline and remove the overhead conductor and wood poles will take place from Tuesday 29 October to Monday 11 November 2024. 

Most of the work will be carried out between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Saturday. Some work on Sunday between 9am and 7pm is also required. The timing of these weekend works will ensure we can complete the work safely and as quickly as possible, and coordinate activities required by crews working on the underground and overhead network. 

Loud machinery may include cranes and elevated work platforms from 10 am on weekends and between 7 am and 4 pm on weekdays. Works outside of these times will be restricted to hand tools and power tools inside a tent.

DevelopmentWA has executed a contract with Western Power to complete the infrastructure works. All works are being directly managed by Western Power.

There is no planned outage associated with this work. In the unlikely event of an unforeseen outage, Western Power will restore power as soon as possible. 

Western Power will attempt to minimise the impact to local residents and businesses wherever possible; however, you may notice some temporary traffic management along Bennett Avenue and Robb Road, and an increase in noise, vehicles, and activity. Perimeter fencing will also be installed on all site boundaries. 

The appointed contractor has prepared a detailed Traffic Management Plan, which requires a reduction in speeds in the area. 

Alternative routes to the area are available if you wish to avoid the site works. Access points and adjacent roads will be swept and maintained by the Contractor to ensure safe public road conditions are preserved.

No power outages are planned during this work. In the unlikely event of an unforeseen outage, power restoration will occur once the fault has been repaired. 

Perimeter fencing will be installed on all site boundaries. All equipment and materials will be secured within a site compound by the Contractor.

Shoreline in North Coogee is the first precinct to be delivered as part of the  Cockburn Coast Redevelopment Area. Developed over 10 years, Shoreline will provide up to 2,500 new homes from a variety of dwelling types to accommodate diverse housing needs. This will include a number of apartment sites of varying sizes, as well as smaller maisonette apartments and townhouse options. This will provide homes for approximately 5,000 people.

The Robb Jetty Local Structure Plan proposes two new pedestrian bridges to link Shoreline to the foreshore, to allow residents easy access to the nearby beaches. Significant investment will see improved public spaces.

A total of 3.5 hectares of high quality public open space which includes a sports playing field, extensive landscaped parklands and a public square will feature as part of the project. Shoreline will also provide an array of community facilities and infrastructure including a primary school and multi-purpose community building. 

Shoreline was formally launched in April 2015 and will be developed in stages over the next 10-15 years.

Stage 1 has already been delivered with the creation of 1.6 hectares of brand new parkland, including a nature play area, shade structures, barbecue facilities and sporting and play equipment. Over the next 5-10 years Shoreline will feature a primary school and a range of retail, dining and entertainment facilities.

Interest in Stage 1 lots has been very strong and all single residential lots are now sold out. Given the site’s unrivalled location and future outlook, we expect this high demand to continue as Shoreline progresses through development.
