Nothing captures the magic of Christmas quite like the twinkle of festive lights, and Yagan Square is the perfect place to soak up Perth’s holiday spirit and bring your imagination to life.

As the starting point of Perth’s much-loved Rio Tinto Christmas Lights Trail, Yagan Square sets the stage for a magical adventure through the city with Christmas Tree Lane - a 40m long festive tunnel, bursting with light, colour and sound. 

Snowfall in the City
28 November - 24 December | 7pm - 9pm

Feel the magic of a white Christmas in the heart of the city! Enjoy snowfall near Christmas Tree Lane every 15 minutes from 7pm - 9pm.

Cheeky Christmas Characters
12 - 24 December | 7pm - 9pm

The Square comes alive with roaming Christmas characters performing and spreading cheer each evening.

Snap a photo with giant gift boxes, rollerskating baubles, cheeky elves and more — it’s the perfect way to add a little sparkle to your Christmas adventure.

Cheerful Carols
12 December | 3pm - 6pm

Nothing says Christmas quite like the sound of carols filling the air.

The 120-voice Born to Sing choir will bring their joyful energy to Yagan Square with renditions of beloved holiday classics, as part of a special ABC Perth Radio Christmas broadcast. 

(Performances will occur intermittently during this time, not continuously)
