DevelopmentWA is launching a new online Planning Portal, designed to streamline the application process and improve accessibility. This digital platform will offer

1. Convenient Online Application Submission: Applicants can submit various planning applications, including development applications, local development plans, structure plans, amendment applications, subdivision clearances, and working drawings, all through a single online platform.
   
   
2. Streamlined Process: The portal provides step-by-step guidance for completing applications, ensuring that all required information and documents are submitted correctly.
   
   
3. Document Upload and Management: Applicants can easily upload mandatory and additional documents directly to the portal, ensuring a smooth and organised submission process.
   
   
4. Real-Time Application Tracking: Applicants can track the status of their applications online, providing transparency and updates throughout the process.
   
   
5. Email Notifications: The portal sends email confirmations for submitted applications, payment requests, and payment receipts, keeping applicants informed at every stage.
   
   
6. Payment Integration: The portal includes a payment gateway for convenient online payment of application fees, with automatic status updates once payment is received.
   
   
7. Request for Further Information (RFI) Management: If additional information is required, applicants can upload requested documents directly through the portal, streamlining communication and ensuring timely responses.

The Planning Portal will go live for new applications from March 2026. From this date, all applications will need to be lodged via the Planning Portal.
