Morawa - Overview
Located in the Mid West of Western Australia, Morawa is just 1.5 hours from Geraldton or 4 hrs from Perth.
It is a family orientated town with a strong sense of community spirit. With a rich agriculture and mining history, activity in these industries drives the economy and provides opportunities for employment and investment.
The new Morawa town square provides a central focal point for community and civic events delivering an attractive, family friendly meeting place and opportunities for local businesses to flourish.
A State Government funding initiative, the Mid West Investment Plan and SuperTowns program has transformed the town centre, creating an attractive place for business investment, tourists and visitors.
The completion of the first two stages of the five-stage revitalisation plan included the new town centre, improvement of the eastern side of the rail corridor in line with Public Transport Authority rail crossing and fencing requirements; upgraded power and wastewater services; quality landscaping; new car parks; and an improved pedestrian network.
