Development Application – Lot 6 Roe Street, Perth – Proposed 30 Storey Multiple Dwelling Development

We invite comment on a development application for a proposed 30 Storey Multiple Dwelling Development at Lot 6 Roe Street, Perth. The site is located within the Link Project Area of the Central Perth Redevelopment Scheme.
The application seeks approval for the following development:
- A 30 storey building comprising 174 build-to-rent multiple dwellings, inclusive of 35 social and 139 affordable dwellings, to be managed by a Community Housing Provider.
- An on-site office for the management of the build-to-rent dwellings by a Community Housing Provider on the ground floor;
- Residential amenities, inclusive of a communal open space area on the ground floor; and
- A total of seven (7) car parking bays for use by residents and staff with vehicle access via Roe Street and a 52 bay bicycle storage room.
The Perth City Link Design Guidelines (the Guidelines) enable departures from the Acceptable Outcome criteria where it is demonstrated the alternative design solutions meet the relevant character statements and objectives of the Guidelines. The application seeks approval to vary the Design Guidelines Acceptable Outcome of an eight (8) storey building height.
